Chosen Solution
I bought a spare motor run capacitor for my ac unit - it is found inside the service panel. It’s an American Standard, model 4TTX6060E1000AA. From the wiring diagram I found on line, I know there is a second capacitor. It will presumably be for the fan? Can anyone tell me where I can find it? Is it internal to the fan?
hi @fixitmyself63 I don’t know where the capacitors are literally located but looking at the wiring diagram they are both associated with the compressor. There is no capacitor associated with the fan Here’s an image from the diagram where I’ve marked them both. If you trace the wire colours as shown on the diagram from the compressor start relay and also the compressor itself you should be able to find them.
