Hi! I’m repairing my phone (Galaxy A41), and after opening it I found this part (the circled part inside the image) I don’t know the name and the usage, maybe someone can help me ?
Update (10/03/2022) Thanks @simone_i, cause I am trying to understand why my bluetooth and wifi do not work for this reason I am looking for the connection module and see if it can be fixed, you can tell me which one it is, I have searched here on iFixit but I cannot find a guide for my phone. Thank you Update (10/03/2022) @jayeff thanks for your scheme, anyway they don’t turn on as you can see, so I assume there is a problem with the module. Do you know a guide to do this ?and which piece I have to buy ? U3003?
Update (10/11/2022) Today I opened the connector and I found these, the upper right part where the wifi chip (MT6631N) is located appears slightly darker than the rest of the circuit. Now I can try to change the chip and see if it works or give me your idea what the problem could be, thanks. (unfortunately I don’t have a microscope, these are the best photos I managed to take)
If it helps, this is where they sell the WiFi/BT chip for Samsung Galaxy A41: https://www.deviceparts.com/mt6631n-wifi… https://it.aliexpress.com/item/400099171…
Hi, that’s your phone’s earpiece, the built-in speaker you use during phone calls. To find out more about speakers installed on smartphones, check out this article, first paragraph after introduction. Update (10/03/2022) The part you are looking for should look something like this and is to be soldered on the board. If you haven’t already, to rule out any possible software related issue why not check if one the following works for you: try activating wifi-Bt switches while in flight mode, then disable flight modereset network settings and try againtry uninstalling last google play services updateboot the phone into safe modesoft/hard reset the device (BACKUP all your data before doing this) Good luck with your repair, cheers
Hi @davebarbarian, When you say that the WiFi and BT are not working, do you mean that you cannot turn them on or that they’re not picking up any signals? If they turn on OK try using the WiFi as close as possible to the WiFi router i.e. <10 cm and then check if it works OK. If so you may have an antenna problem. The WiFi antenna (also is used for BT - both work on the 2.4GHz band) is the white coax cable that can be seen running between the top and bottom boards below the battery in the image you posted. The WiFi/BT chip is very close to the end of the antenna. I haven’t checked it out but here’s a link to the schematics that may help Update (10/12/2022) Hi @davebarbarian I don’t know what the green or pink references mean but did you check the components as shown in the Wifi troubleshooting flowchart. Also there is a diplexer between the antenna input and the WiFi IC so if it was just not picking up signals the problem could be anywhere between the antenna and the WiFi IC and not the WiFi IC itself. If the WiFi was not turning on then most probably it might be the WiFi IC
