So long story short, i had to open my ps4 after it kept overheating, which I fixed, but I also partially disassembled the disc drive while doing so. I ended up with one small metal bracket, about 1 cm in length.
This screw goes through the hole of that grounding fin. That fin can normally be found between that plate and the mid-body. Make sure you didn’t also misplace the vertical stand screw receiver on the other side of the PS4. Those are the two parts that you can lose if you take that plate off. It doesn’t actually go to the blu-ray drive, though it will make contact with it.
