Does anyone know where a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9" screen can be repaired? Or at least purchased to be installed at a computer repair shop?
there are 2 screens for the hdx 8.9 one has 71 pins and one has 90 pins the best way to tell is to count them on the original screen they are both available on ebay

The question was about an HDX. The answers pertain to an HD. Is replacing the screen the same for both the HDX and the HD?
Honestly I would recommend not fixing I had one and the screen broke and I had it fixed but after 2 weeks it quit working all together after sending it back twice the gave me a refurbished one and it works for a month and now doesnt turn on ..I dont know if you take them apart the never work right but they ended up refunding my money for the repair and I bought the hd 10…Just a thought
