I am actually finding some selling for $35. And that site you have shop.td-phone.com actually has the cheapest I have found so far at $34.99 (even better than ones coming from Hong Kong and Indonesia). I found a few on Alibaba for between $1-$20 (I think it depends on the quantity you buy and I do not see the original type face on the casing). However, I trust nothing from them and before I purchase anything I will inquiry about it with the buyer (for instance, they were selling “nuclear batteries” for cellphones, which turned out to just be lithium-ion batteries). I will let you know how it goes. If you got something better let me know! I would much appreciate it because the math here is not making sense. I am spending already $50 (new LCD screen, antenna cover, front bezel) and having to spend another $34.99 seems overpriced when you can only really sell a used iPhone 2G for $68. If I try to undercut the market and sell it for $60.99 I make maybe $10 in profit? How’d that make all that labor worth it?
Try looking around ebay for salvaged ones. I’ve been looking around, trying to repair my 3 2G’s, so far so good..
