I could not find any information on this anywhere on the internet. I would greatly appreciate if someone could answer where the 3G/UMTS antennas are located in the iPhone 8. Thank you in advance. Kind regards.
Apple since iPhone 5 has been using the case as the antenna units for cellular service The top and bottom isolated parts of the case are the antennas
The NFS, Bluetooth and WiFi antennas are mounted just under the glass in the open areas at the top you see in the metal plate as well as within the displays glass. Update (05/31/2020) 3G is a technology its not a radio band or the given techilogiy on how the signal is transmitted. There is only the two cellular antennas. As an example a GSM is one type of signal where as UMTS is another. The given phones radio will be either be different or tuned for the different service. Take note at the different iPhones
