The fans are normally very quiet but when i turn off the computer the fans of the thunderbolt display first starts spinning very fast and after 5 seconds keeps spinning not so fast but keeps running until I power on my computer again. Is it normal?
Hi, have you latest Thunderbolt Firmware installed ? Check Mac Software updates. There was an update adressing fan related issues. Update (01.10.2016) So, now i found this about the problem. Seems to be an apple known problem. https://discussions.apple.com/message/16…
Hi Colonel Hogan, Thanks in advance for you answer. Yes, i’ve already checked the updates. It is the last version of the firmware (26.2) It is not normal right? For the thunderbolt display’s fans starts when turned off.
I realize I’m incredibly late to the party here, but if you’ve got your MacBook charging even when it’s off, the fans will cool the power adapter.
