Our laptop and tv was working yesterday and the internet on laptop stop I was trying get to to reconnect and now it’s saying on the tv when turn on HDMI no singal check the source and I went bought another HDMI cord still saying it am at my wit’s end cause I have 17 year old having a fit help please the tv is a element TV and it’s brand new just bought couple weeks ago and very thing was working great up till yesterday

I would also try to verify that the laptop HDMI is actually generating a signal. Connect the laptop to another display that you know works via HDMI. As with any loss of signal there are 3 possibilities:

  1. Source (laptop)
  2. Destination (TV)
  3. Interconnect (cable) If any of them fail, the result is the same. You have already tried a new cable so we can eliminate #3. Move the laptop to another set that is working to check #1. If that works, than the problem is with the TV. Dan
