I know that this is not a repair question but I would like to ask you guys about the battery life on this device. I bought it a year ago and the battery life is 90 percent of the original capacity.. is that a good thing or should I keep my battery in better condition and keep it that much plugged in or something.. the max capacity on this Device is 4790mAh and mine is 4320mAh. I could really use your help! thanks guys
Your battery should last around 1000 cycles. The ability of holding a charge does lessen as the battery ages (time & use). I do recommend getting a good app like CoconutBattery so you can monitor your battery. Get into not letting the battery drop below 1/3 charge as the deeper the discharge the deeper the stress on the battery which can cause the battery to overheat. Likewise running the system hard on battery can also cause the battery to overheat. Its these times which wearing the battery. From what you’ve described you should have a good 2~3 years left.
