When replacing the rear panel do I necessarily need the rear glass?
hello Anthony, depending what you calling “rear panel”. We talk about 8+, there’re three basic parts: screen, housing and glass. What you want to replace, glass, housing or both? If you have a broken rear glass on 8+ you can replace all housing assy (included a flex tapes and glass on the back - in proper color) - cost is circa 75$ + 1-2 work hours, if you change it yourself. If we talk about glass only, cost is 2.5-3.5$ and 2-3 work hours. Up to you. additionally, you will need a disposable screen gasket and some precision tools (screwdrivers +, * and Y), tweezers or two, a heat gun or, good hair dryer will be useful. However, I recommend that you use a good repair shop, you will save a lot of worry, time and money - if you do it for the first time. regards,
