When I shut my MacBook Pro for a while and then open it back up, the screen is blurry and computer is non-responsive for a minute or so. Then it gets happy and works perfectly. It I don’t move the hinges the computer works perfectly. I took it to Apple and it passed the diagnostic tests but the repair estimate was pretty high. Is it possible there is a loose wire ? thx

A loose wire wouldn’t do that. A failing component would. So if you plug in an external display via the Thunderbolt port (USB-C) when you encounter the issue is the external display showing the proper image Vs the internal? If thats the case the internal display assembly has the issue. If the problem is present on both screens the main logic board has the issue. Both parts are not cheap. OK, can we dive deeper fixing something deeper. It might be possible, but that will need deeper skills and proper tools to to the task not something a DIY person can do on their own. Think it this way a GP doctor is not a brain surgeon and you would need the skills of brain surgery to go deeper!
