Chosen Solution
Had my computer for about a year, and it has worked just fine. Suddenly today my screen got a very thin black vertical line, it appered out of nowhere. I didn’t know what to do so I just restarted the computer but nothing happened. Then when I went to sleep, I turned off the computer and when I checked it next morning the stripe was a lot bigger and was now blue and it was flickering… Over the past year or so it has been dropped from time to time, and it might have gotten a small splash of water, but nothing significant that I know of that could have caused this. It sounds like your display got damage did you bang it or have something heavy sit on your system? I would bring it into an Apple Store to let them deal with it. You’ll need a new display
