Chosen Solution
Quite new to phone fixing but really enjoying it and these guides are brilliant. I have a iphoneX with a damaged front mic but face ID working. If I replace the whole unit I would lose the ID. Which is easier to replace, the face ID chip or the front microphone? happy to buy a soldering plate and already have a soldering iron. Any advice welcome. Thanks for reading!
theres 2 different things need swapped over to a new flex cable for face id so the mic would be the quicker option but depends if the flex is damaged
