I just want to know if the Galaxy S II will boot up or show signs of life like vibrate without a battery.

Hi @appleiphone4c , According to this it won’t boot up without a battery inserted. Just tried it on an old ZTE phone I had lying around and it wont start either on the charger only without a battery inserted. So I guess that looking for a battery being there when starting to boot may be the usual procedure for Android OS devices.
