What WiFi bluetooth card to upgrade my mid-2011 macBook Air? wifi card to be able to connect to 802.11 AC? My hopes are to enable Apple Watch unlock along with continuity and handoff under High Sierra. Anyone try this would this work? Are the antenna wire long enough to reach the new card? Are extensions available if not? Would this be the correct part# BCM94360CS2? Thanks for the help guys.
Yes, it will work. Make sure you get a dual-band card and purchase extensions just in case. Below is a replacement guide. MacBook Air 13" Mid 2011 AirPort/Bluetooth Card Replacement Update (11/28/2017) That is indeed the correct part number, no extensions should be needed. Look in the guide I posted earlier to help you replace/reassemble your laptop after completing the replacement. Good luck!
Hey Jorge, Did you do this yet? I’m waiting for my BCM94360CS2 to come in the post. I believe one of the antennas will be too short. you’ll have to reroute it. Regards, Stephan
