I am about to replace the HD in my PowerBook due to the factory one dying. I am currently shopping online and am coming across lots of different types. Does anyone know what type of HD I need? (for example ATA, SATA, etc…) My system is a PowerBook G4 Aluminum 17" 1.67GHz (High-Res). Thank you.
The drive in that PB G4 is a 5400 rpm Ultra ATA/100 (ATA-6) as per mactracker.
I ended up going with a 5400 rpm 320gb drive. just ordered it so i haven’t installed or anything yet. we’ll see how it goes, can’t wait to have my mac back!
