Hello. I have a Seiki SE29HY34 with no backlight. Verified by holding flashlight to screen. I can see a picture. It looks like on this model the mainboard and Power board are the same part. I have no service manual. Is there any way I can determine if it’s the main board or the LED inverter? I suppose it COULD be the cable too, but probably unlikely. Without the manual I have no idea where to test for what voltages. I reseated all cables and there is no visable damage. Is there anything I’m missing? Advice? thanks

Last Minute Productions commonly if it is the main or the power board (which in your case appear to be the same) you will NOT see anything with the “flashlight test” I strongly suspect this to be a problem with your backlight array. Since your TV is a bit of an off-brand item we would need to see the boards as well as the label that should be on the inside of your TV affixed to the metal part of the TV. It will tell us the make and model of your LCD. So remove the back cover and take some good clear pictures of your board(s), the interconnect cables and the label. What type of illumination does this TV have? CCFL or LED?
