Chosen Solution
I have a Melitta Kettle, Model MEK 17W, the thermal cutoff is open. The numbers on the cutoff are warn off. I am looking for the temperature rating for this device so I can replace it. I am guessing the voltage will be around 250 @ 10 amps, not sure how high in temperature I should go. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks
I replaced the thermal cutout with one rated at 192 C 10 amps 250 VAC, which I saw used in a different brand of the same capacity. The kettle is now working again. I will post an update if anything else occurs.
