I recently got given this iMac by my father with the following problems :

I have replaced the LCD only and am now thinking maybe its a LCD connector issue with relation to the pixel scattering on the screen. Then there’s the issue of it not actually booting up and staying on this console screen. I have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard for it but they seem to be useless until I connect them using the GUI. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ps i also think the disc reader has a disc stuck in it, how would i go about extracting it without buying an new one or breaking this one.

To eject a DVD, hold down your mouse button on startup.

I’m not sure why you thought the issue was the LCD. You are facing a kernel error within your OS files or it could be hardware. You clearly have a logic board issue as the graphics is messed up on the display, so I would have replaced is the logic board first: 20” iMac Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz logic board Apple P/N: Rev-1 661-4984 or Rev-2 661-5136 You likely will need to reformat and install a fresh copy of the OS this system requires if you are still getting the memory errors.
