Chosen Solution
I got my MacBook Air’s LCD replaced because it pretty much got destroyed. A very bad job, but I can actually use it. I’m just wondering if there is a fix for the light seeping though. I can live with it, but it’s really annoying. A1466/ early 2014 prob.
This looks exactly like water damage. The display was at one point exposed to liquid and it got into the back layers of the screen causing watermarks that you see in the picture. If someone repaired my machine like that I would question wether or not they are using quality parts and get my money back. That is unacceptable.
