What S On My Nook Ive Found That Stuff Was Downloaded On My Nook Nook Tablet

I attempt to enter a search item and the NOOK doesn’t let me enter my information. I recently found that my step son had used it and downloaded a ton of  ‘‘stuff’ on MY Nook  !? I have to believe that its corrupted…what can I do to get rid of that which I don’t want and save my downloaded medical into..my paid magazines and books? Thanks much
