Hello, My phone was only wiped with a damp tissue, not sure how it caused the damage. I started getting the phone is heating message and keeps turning off, even though the phone is cold. I checked the sim slot and the slip was red. Can someone help me with what parts I need exactly to fix water damaged phone (the usual fix for many people ) , I’ve read about replacing the battery, but since it was just a wet tissue I doubt the battery was damaged. I would like to leave the battery as the last solution to try. Please refer me to other parts that I should replace before the battery. And are all the A50 parts the same worldwide? Help is needed, I would like to purchase them asap. Thanks.
@andf123 this error message is usually displayed when you have a bad battery. There are no standard parts that will fail since each water “exposure” is unique. You would have to disassemble your phone, clean all parts with something like 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Check your motherboard for any obviously damaged/missing components. Then replace the battery, reassemble and re-evaluate. Most parts will fit but it will help if we know the exact model of your phone.
