hi hinge on acer e1-571 has totally broken the back and top of the plastics on both sides. everything still works. clamps not really going to work as base plastic behind hinge broken off. is their another laptop i can buy as spares repairs and rehouse the main laptop with the current acer screen (and hinge) hinge.. or do i use an expanding foam or something? just to solidify it.prefer rehousingor get something on ebay, keep screen , maybe change hinges etc? thx Update (08/25/2018)
@csmoke because of the position of the ports, connectors etc. you can only replace likes-for like. You could try and find a broken laptop of your model and transplant the parts. Post a couple of good pictures to your question of what your damaged one looks like. There may be other ways to repair it. Adding images to an existing question
