So the touchscreen on our iPad Air Wi-Fi quit working, so my first thought was to do a hard reboot - no luck, next I opened it up to check and reseat all of the connections - no luck, third step was to replace the digitizing screen, no luck, fourth step was to replace the LCD screen, no luck - what now, logic board? I already have ~ $200 in parts invested do I give up now or what?

Sounds like there’s a board level issue but you could send it to Jessa Jones of iPad Rehab. She specializes in board level repairs on iPhones and iPads or you could check your local repair shops to see if they specialize in microsoldering.
