Hello everyone. Please help me with my problem. I used the Internet Recovery (Command + R), and entered my Wifi. But then no matter how many times I’ve entered my Wifi name, it won’t start the recovery process. I also used the ( …) tab and encoded my wifi name and password, but I still can’t get through. Must I send it to a repair shop? I already did this last Dec. 28, but then I shutted it off in the middle of downloading Mac OS Lion because of a schedule. And now, I was having trouble going in. I also added my backup hardrive in the middle of startin the Mac. Does it cause more trouble for me? I need your help, please. My school is about to start, and I need my files back for my project. Thank you.
Have you tried connecting to the Router directly via an Ethernet cable? Without knowing all of your AP settings and what your systems firmware level is it will be difficult to know why. Best just to use an alternative method. If you can’t get the Ethernet connection to work how about creating a bootable USB thumb drive with the OS installer using a second Mac system.
