I was looking at upgrading my graphics card to something a little better for gaming. I was looking at the Raedon R9 series preferably the 290 or 390. The problem is i have no idea how this works so I don’t even know if these will physically fit in my computer. So can I upgrade to either of these (or another graphics card on par with these)?
Sadly, you cannot upgrade the graphics card in an iMac. There is not an actual graphics “card” so to say inside of an iMac. Instead, the GPU itself is soldered to the logic board. If you need more performance, you may want to consider selling your current iMac and putting that money towards purchasing a newer model.
