Just underneath the battery connector, what is the golden connector, with a black pad on top, that just won’t go back in, circular in shape. No matter how hard I press it won’t go back in. What is it for, and could it be related to my phone not charging?
pretty sure you’re talking about the wifi antenna lead, if you dont plug it in your wifi wont work (one i found on google - https://www.replacebase.co.uk/apple-ipho… )
If you try to force the connector on you could have inadvertently damaged the socket on the main board by bending it out of shape, in which case you will struggle to get the connector to locate.
