What Is This Piece I Found In My Disk Drive Playstation 4 Slim

I noticed my PS4 wasn’t taking in any disks. I can get the disk to go in less than a centimeter. I was wondering what this piece is.

Hi @angelsyn , Don’t know, but it seems to be some sort of restore spring. Here’s an image taken from Step.13 of the ifixit PlayStation 4 Slim Disk Drive Replacement guide that shows where it is fitted, I think.

(click on image to enlarge) Update (12/26/2021) @angelsyn Can you insert, play eject discs with the spring out? The only other spring I can see in the teardown is shown in Step.15. can’t tell if it is the same sort of spring or not but here’s an image to show where it is located.
