I wonder if this is worth fixing, or if I should just live with it ? Update (05/23/2018) The model number is UN55JS8500. It’s been a great set for the two years I’ve had it, and then one day these lines show up.

radiasean this is not a backlight error. Yes it could be the diffuser sheet but you want to give us the complete model number of your TV as well. To fix it or not to fix it will entirely depend on your skills, tools and time. A lot of times changing the sheets etc. becomes very involved and cumbersome.

It’s cracks in the diffuser panel. It will get worse and eventually will burn the edges of the diffuser panel.
