The new battery installed without problem. Charge, as received, was 65%. Thirty hours later, charge was 2%. I turned off phone and put it on the charger. Less than an hour later the charge said 100%. This does not seem possible. Or, is this a normal happening for a first charge after replacing the battery?
Depending on the charger, usually 5-8 hours on a new battery is the standard charge time. Try to recalibrate it first. To do so, let the phone run until it powers off by itself. If the phone immediately powers up after you plug in the charger after a power off, then unplug the charger again and let it run down again. Repeat this until the phone will not power up immediately after plugging in a charger. Let it charge up to 100%. Now at this point, if you are still seeing the same issue, you a) either have a defective battery, or b) whomever changed your battery out damaged your Charge IC. Either way, you should take it back to the repair shop and let them know what you are experiencing.
