I have a Samsung UE40D5520 Led TV It has horizontal lines going across the top of the screen. The lines are always present on tv video and pc. The lines are on top of the test screen. Adjusting the screen up or down the lines dont move. Can you tell me what is causing this. line fault
@mynameisstu horizontal lines are most often caused by a bad panel (failed GATE drivers or failed TAB). Not much a DIY’er can repair on that. Post some images of what your screen looks like so we can see what you see.
Hi @ Steven Hernandez, If the TV is only 6 months old from new, consult the warranty documentation that came with the TV, about how to get a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement
Hi. It’s the connector. Simply. But yea, maybe its the logic board that is broken. And Samsung is known for making tv’s that break after a year or two, so your best bet, is to go buy a new one. Well, hope it didn’t make your day bad. But still, have a nice day cheers :)
MY PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: a faint (watermark quality) multi-colored ‘banner’ across entire screen of my 65” SAMSUNG TV, approx 6” above bottom of screen, and 6” high, made up of multiple lines of what appeared as possibly highly blurred text or interference signals of some sort. this problem suddenly appeared following a storm related power outage. MY SOLUTION: after much research, checking all connections to TV, doing the video diagnostic test in ‘setup’, and actually considering replacing this 3 year old TV, …i simply switched off the main power (basically pulled the plug), and switched it back on after about 30 seconds. Problem solved /perfect picture again!
