There are 1/4” bars across the top of the display
It sounds unrelated to the battery change and most likely due to the LCD Flex cables either damaged or not seated correctly. I would unplug the battery, disconnect the LCD and clean out the FPC Connectors with a soft brush like toothbrush and 95% or greater Iso Alcohol and reseat them. Make sure you are putting the correct screws back in their holes assembling, mismatching them can cause long screw damage to the logic board.
