Samsung 58” smart tv model un58h5202afxza . picture when out put new power board in . Now I have picture again . But still have a burn smell so I looked at the new power board and it as a burn on it. Still works .What is causing it to burn a spot on left size of the board . Update (08/19/2018) *
Without seeing the actual burn mark, I can’t be 100% sure, but… In the general case, burn marks often show up around resistors. The excessive heat is due to more current flow that normally anticipated. In your case, it sound like there is a problem where the power board is being asked to produce more power than normal causing excessive heat. Since the original board failed, I would suspect that you have addressed the symptom rather than the problem when you replaced the power supply board. As already suggested, please post a picture of the power board, I would prefer to see both boards (the old defective one as well as the new). These may give us a clue about the true problem. Dan
rick @dean65 there is no part underneath this board that causes it. What you have here is a bad backlight. You are pulling more current to the backlight causing the traces between the diode and the resistor to get hot enough to melt the board. I am certain that this is the same area where the previous power board failed as well. Unless you replace the backlight array, your power board will fail again. Measure the voltages on the connector and let us know what you get.
