A friend of mine who doesnt know much about tech needs to take the SSD of a mac book pro that is broken and get his files (photos, videos, etc). I never owned or worked with Apple products and i have no idea what interface they using. I did some research and i was confused even more. All I know is that the SSD should not be compatible with standard interfaces. Is there an adapter to change it to a standard one?

Theodoros Konstadinidis - First you’ll need a special case to house the Apple SSD and then you need to connect the case with the SSD onto another Mac system as the files on it can’t be read under Windows or Linux (APFS) the older HFS+ can be read with added OS support under Windows but I’m sure you are going to need to salvage the Photo app files which will require macOS Here’s the case you’ll need: OWC Envoy Pro Portable, Bus-Powered USB 3.0 Storage Enclosurefor select Apple Flash SSDs from most 2013 to 2015 Mac Models
