I’ve had a HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn1xxx for four years now, and as of 2021, I’d noticed my battery had begun expanding. If someone could help, I need to know what exact battery to buy so I can replace my old one, and how to even replace it in the first place. This laptop’s battery is annoyingly hard to get a straight answer for, and I’ve been looking for a long time.

The manual is one that covers the HP ENVY x360 Convertible PC series so I think it will be applicable to your model. On p.30 it describes the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the battery. The battery part number L43267-005, is also shown at the top of the page. Search online using the part number only to get suppliers that suit you. The part number should also be printed on the battery in your laptop if you wish to verify. Another way to find out which battery is installed in your model is to insert the laptop’s serial number (found on the information label on the bottom of the laptop) here and you can find the part numbers for all the parts used in your particular model.
