I have checked the connections on the computer, apple tv and television set. The tv screen just shows a flashing question mark over an image of the apple tv. What does that mean?
It means it cannot find any internal storage, get a OSX installation USB, hold option when you hear the chime and using disk utility see if the internal is un-discoverable or just needs an installation on it.
hard drive in the appltv may have died
