Some time ago my cat landed on my Acer and cracked the outer glass from top to bottom. The unit still works ok and the crack is so tight it cannot be felt. Is it possible just to replace the outer glass or do other components near to be changed as well.?
It is best to replace the full screen. Yes technically you can replace just the glass but the glue is a huge pain to remove and the cost of tools and chemicals tend to end up being about the same as a screen with glass and digitizer. plus it is a lot faster.
