So my friend just gave me this. Do I through it away or is here anything worth here?
BruisedRoses well you could spend some money and time to try and fix it by using these guides iPhone 6 Repair . Of course you do not know what the history is on that one. Could be damaged beyond your level or repair skills or it could be a iCloud locked board. There is not a whole lot of monetary value with this. Personally, I’d get it properly recycled or donate it to someone that does iPhone repair.
I actually think as long as it’s of someone u know and they know the history of it ie it’s not been “found" and they know the iCloud details then I think the following Its had a bend kink by the volume buttons, contact with some form of liquid and just generally mistreated… To try it u would need a screen I would try a new screen and see what u get and test as much as u can I.e touch issues, searching no service, wifi etc If all is good then u would need either a full screen assembly with all the parts or the following: ScreenMetal plates- back of screen, earpiece, home buttonScrews correct do not mix up the ones on that metal plate already there with the torn flexes popping outFront camera flexEarpiece speakerLong home button flexHome button If just trying a screen and it doesn’t work or other bits dont work that are important to u then just donate it to someone who does board repairs the ics and bits on the phone may help someone recover another person’s phone :) P.s note the touchid feature will not work.
