Just got a CUH-1216B PS4 model to replace the power button on it, but it turned out that the problem is much more serious than that. It doesn’t give any sign of life except the three short beeps when you push the eject button. (No beep, no light, no fan spin-up when pushing the power button, absolutely nothing.) It wont turn on even if I try to insert a disc. Another PSU from a working console did not make any change. :/ What could be faulty on the motherboard? How could I diagnose this problem? (Sorry if my English is bad)
Try and check if everything is connected on the disc drive and then try again by disc drive, I have never heard of that to be honest, it wouldn’t be an apu problem since it wont turn on at all yet power to the disc drive is there. could be southbridge but that’s very unlikely, if the disc drive cables are all in okay, remove the motherboard and look for any damage or dust looking stuff. Could be corrosion or missing components, let me know if you find anything
