Mid-repair, with only the original components, I’m getting this image on my display when turning the device on. Any idea what the cause could be?

The image is slightly shifted to the side and sometimes there’s duplication going on. Plus the artifacts and lines you see on the photo. It’s also not entirely static. There’s some kind of repeating effect, where over a few seconds the image degrades to being almost impossible to recognize anything, then it jumps back to this ‘almost fine’ state as shown on the picture. Digitizer and everything else seem to work perfectly. Broken LCD cable, possibly? I didn’t even work with that, and the ribbon cable looks absolutely pristine, but of course there’s a chance I damaged something while taking the device apart. Is there maybe a catalog of display issues somewhere, to help differentiate between a broken cable, a broken display, a cable not properly slid in, etc.?

Hi, Try mirroring the screen to a TV etc and check the display on it. If it is OK then most probably it is a LCD display problem or connection problem in the tablet If the external screen also shows the same problem then it is probably a systemboard problem. Other than that all I can think of it to temporarily replace the tablet’s screen and check if it is still there or not.
