Hello all! I’ve got simple question. Is it possible to change some chips to solve problem with activation lock (iphone is not locked by find my iphone, only i don’t know password for latest used iCloud account on it)? Can I do that in home without special tools? I know how to disassamble whole iphone, but i have never fight with soldering things to the Logic Board. Now I have chance to have some fun with Logic Board! Thanks in advance!
You will actually need 2 sets of logicboards, complete with chips, some really expensive soldering equipment, and extremely steady hands. You would need to swap memory, touchID, and a few other chips. This is a high risk endeavor if you don’t have much experience with micro solder, and since you need to sets of chips, it gets expensive too.
