Chosen Solution
Samsung LED 50J6300AFXZA out of warranty. Lower left corner of screen discolors, heats up, screen goes dark, audio still on. If I turn tv off and on, picture returns for several minutes, then goes dark again. Need to know fix. Not sure if its the main board, t-con board or something else. Took tv apart, inspected boards, no apparent bulging capacitors or anything else. These seems to be a common problem described in many online chats but haven’t seen the most common causes and fix posted. Please advise

We would need to see what you are looking at. Post some good images with your qestion so that we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. Depending on the area, as well as what it looks like, I would consider a bad panel or a bad backlight array a definite possibility.
