In an effort to clean my logic board, I managed to tear the connector that connects TO the touch bar cable on the Macbook Pro A1706. I couldn’t simply replace the touch bar cable as this isn’t the problem. It’s the cable that connects to the touch bar cable. Could someone tell me what part I require in order to replace this?
Sorry to say Apple does not offer a replacement cable or even the touch bar. You’ll need to replace the complete uppercase assembly ($$!!) You might find the part directly from China.
Is it a cable which connects to a controller, or to the Touch Bar itself? If it’s a ribbon cable then you’re out of luck, better replace the whole part.
