Hello, TV: Panasonic TX-P50GW20 Plasma TV My Picture had a full green screen at first, with Green moving Horizontel Lines. I disconnected and reconnected some Ribbon cables, now i got an actual picture with color but it is weirdly divided and corrupted. Trying to disconnect and reconnected didnt help further, it only makes it stay the same or make it worse. The menu seems to work, but doesnt show up on the Screen, it seems to be placed somewhere outside of the Screen. Anyone got an Idea which board/ribbon cable is the problem?
this is a guess. The fact that you restored video by reseating ribbon cables might indicate that the environment you are in (maybe hot and humid) caused the problem. It now appears like there is no sync signal for the video. That may also be a connector issue. I would reseat all the other connectors and inspect them for none shiny pin surfaces and do whatever necessary to remove ant tarnish or corrosion. If that doesn’t solve it, go back to the ribbon cables and rub the contact surface on the ribbon with a pencil eraser to shine them up.
