Chosen Solution
I was so proud that I replaced my screen on my own, done everything right, followed the guide to the T. Only thing is that after the screen was replaced, I wasn’t getting any Wifi in range, I moved closer to the router and then it connected perfect, phone signal reception seems fine, just now for the Wifi only works when I’m beside my router takes the whole mobile out of mobile. Can any advise what I done, hit a cable or done something that I can reverse the problem. I need Wifi!! Thanks so much!
As seen in the picture above, the ear piece has a pin going on to the wifi/bluetooth antenna below it when the screen is closed. The part that touches on the antenna is the little gold almost rectangle part of the antenna inside the phone. Make sure these two parts are making contact.
Same issue here unfortunately :( I’ve double checked and cleaned the ear pieces contacts with no luck. Would it worth to remove and reinstall the ear piece? It seems like a contact problem, since I don’t know how the WiFi antenna could be damaged while working on the screen (I’ve also replaced the battery) The spare part is quite cheap, but I would have to disassemble almost all the phone in order to get access to it
