My iPhone X’s speaker grille has broken slightly. For some reason one of the holes’ speaker grille has sort of ‘popped in’ and I’m worried about waterproofing. If the iPhone x gets dusty/wet is it the speaker grille that stops the water from getting inside the phone, or does the speaker grille prevent the water from getting in? Thanks.
The grill is designed to let sound out and prevent water in. If yours got damaged you’ll need to get it fixed to regain its waterproofness. But! You have a Catch22 problem here! Opening the phone to replace the grill (if thats even possible) or replace the bottom case will in fact make the phone less waterproof! Your best bet here is get a case which in its self offers waterproofing - Sorry ;-{
