Hi @knucklehead911, What is the model number off the washer? Most washing machine/refrigerator water inlet solenoid valves are considered to be irreparable, mainly because you cannot obtain any individual component parts for them if it is faulty e.g. solenoid coil, washer, valve stem, restore spring. You have to replace the entire solenoid valve assembly. If it is leaking water when the machine is off, you could try filling the machine a few times in the hope that any sediment, grit etc which may be lodged in the seat of the valve and preventing it from fully closing will be flushed out so that it can seal properly when the power to the valve is disconnected. It is the spring that closes the valve and it must have enough tension to close the valve against the incoming water pressure. If it does shut off correctly after it has been flushed a few times, check that the screen filters in the water inlet hoses are OK and not damaged allowing any grit or sediment that may be in the water supply to enter the machine and perhaps get lodged in the valve.
