Water spilled on my laptop and now became very slow and work through the charger and the battery just do not charge also…And I want you to help me to know how to fix it ???
Follow the tags at right and you’ll see what you’re in for (major DIY project). Easier way (still very advanced as you have to completely disassemble and reassemble the entire machine) replace the logic board. (You might even be able to upgrade to the latest processor/graphics package for your model year if you own a base model). If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
I also have the same issue. It’s faulty temp sensor in the trackpad. I just replaced the logic board and realized that it wasn’t the board to begin with but the sensor. I had two other customer laptops with the same exact issue (very slow, fans running high, SMC error in the diagnostics). Apparently the way the liquid spills, it hits the trackpad area.
How can I know whether the faulty temperature sensor is in the trackpad or somewhere else? AHT error reference codes: PFM006, NDC001, PPN001 MacBook Air 7,2 (early 2015) Damage occoured while it was in a backpack with a leaky water bottle. Fan is on max. kernel_task is using around 2-12 % CPU.
