hey, sometime ago I spilled water on my keyboard. My mac was checked and everything was ok, apart from the camera: Its now super slow as if the connection was constantly bad. The picture shows glitches and stripes. Can this be fixed? Thanks guys!! Update (04/04/2020) Hi Dan, sorry for replying so late, I did it (press D after restarting) and that is what I got (see pic)
Your system is running in Safe Mode which is why your systems fan is running hard and the systems performance is so slow as the CPU is running at a much lower clock rate to protect it from getting damaged. The cause of this is your systems system management controller (SMC) has detected a failed sensor and/or short in a sensor so it go into this mode to protect your system from overheating. The corrosion damage to your logic board and/or trackpad is the likely source. At this point you’ll need to run the onboard diagnostics to see if we can get an error code to narrow down where we need to look. Depending on your OS release and the security updates Apple broke the onboard diagnostics so it might not work ;-{ Let’s still give it a try!
