Hello, I recently purchased a 2014 Kenmore Elite Frenchdoor fridge. The water and ice maker worked for the previous owners, but it is not working for me. I have replaced the water filter. And I know that the water is getting to the filter because a good bit of water comes out when I remove the filter. However, when I try to dispense water, nothing happens. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong or missing?
Water present when changing the filter, doesn’t mean new water is coming into the fridge. So doubled checked that the water to the fridge is turned on at the wall spicket and there is good pressure? You can verify, by turning off water, remove water line to back of fridge, place water line in bucket and turn water back on. Verify there is water and pressure. If you have both water and pressure, then you most likely have a bad water inlet valve inside the fridge. You will need to provide your exact model number in order for me to confirm. UPDATE: There is an access panel where the water line runs into. The water inlet valve is behind there. With the multimeter check the water valve according to the following:
